What You Will Be Doing

Gelato sits at the intersection of critical global trends: the rise of the creator economy, evolving global supply chains, the rapid growth of e-commerce, and the shift toward more sustainable production methods. These trends are transforming the printing industry, creating new opportunities for printers to scale efficiently and profitably. GelatoConnect empowers printers by providing an integrated production platform that addresses these challenges.

As a Solutions Engineer for GelatoConnect, you will collaborate with internal teams and customers to design solutions that meet customer requirements while demonstrating the full value of GelatoConnect. You will play a critical role in the sales process, bridging the gap between technical functionality and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Work with customers to gather requirements and understand their business challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to existing and new customers.
  • Develop proposals, including scope, cost estimates, and implementation timelines.
  • Design and recommend solutions that meet customer needs 
  • Answer technical questions and address customer concerns during the sales process.
  • Provide input on sales strategies and tactics to improve customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, engineering, and customer support, to align service delivery with overall business objectives, prioritize customer needs, and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
  • Enable Account Executives to provide overview product demonstrations.

Our requirements for the role include: 

  • Experience working directly with commercial printers, ideally in a product specialist role. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role within the software industry, with a focus on presales.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage stakeholder expectations, and navigate challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with print software solutions and related technologies is a plus.
